This year was my 40th birthday you guys! I celebrated with this crew [the "Tejas Trece"] in Cabo and it was nothing short of AMAZING. Well, it was quite the dream actually. I am still in awe of every little detail and moment from that trip. The thankfulness in my heart is overwhelming - Jesus has blessed me with some of the most beautiful souls to do this life with. And some of the most FUN! Never a dull moment when we are all together!
And my husband. The lengths and depths to which he went to to make me feel loved and celebrated this year...there are no words. I love you, Jack Callahan. While this was a "special" birthday, I want you to know you make me feel loved and celebrated EVERY DAY.
WHERE WE STAYED
Marquis Los Cabos
I can't say enough positive things about this hotel! The property is very chic + gorgeous, adults only, plenty of pool space for groups + quick poolside service - Sergio & Arturo are the bees knees [plus, their infinity pools are very close to the beach/ocean for an even better view & experience], all of the food was top notch, hotel was sizable but the layout was perfect - everything was easy to get to, gorgeous views, different shows each night, wonderful staff.
We stayed in an ocean view casita with a private rooftop pool. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Some of our other friends had one as well and we LOVED this option for more late night hangouts together after dinner.
Also, Marquis Los Cabos went above & beyond with the birthday celebrations and surprises each day! The first day we were there, Jack and I had a private dinner just the two of us on the presidential suite balcony. Watching the sun go down with a champagne toast and yummy food? YES PLEASE. It was a wonderful way to kick off our trip. The next morning we had a couple's massage complete with a jacuzzi rose petal tub soak and champagne + chocolate covered strawberries. It was dreamy and LITERALLY the best massages either of us have had. My girl even braided my hair during the massage!
The next night, we had a private beach dinner scheduled to welcome + celebrate with all of our friends who arrived that day. Well the beach plan didn't work out due to a super high tide, but that's okay because the wonderful staff at Marquis saved the evening and moved us to a beautiful, private rooftop spot right away. Little did I know one of our best friends privately hired the mariachi band to come play for us... it was the best surprise! I got emotional at this dinner and just felt all the love looking around at the table watching everyone eat, drink, laugh and celebrate on such a perfect evening.

THINGS TO DO
We learned a must at least once in your life is to rent a private yacht with your friends for a day out on the ocean! We did this as the "BIG" birthday celebration and it is a CORE MEMORY, y'all. Something I will never ever forget! We used Cabo Yacht Charters and our boat was the Number Juan. I know. 😆 The food and service the staff provided for us this day was again, above & beyond.
Before the boat, we did brunch at The Ledge at The Cape. So good and the views were breathtaking! A must if you enjoy the views/experience as much as the food.
We also did Baja Brewing Company another day, a spot we will definitely visit again. Great menu, plus upstairs patio seating with more beautiful views + tv's with all the sports to make the husbands happy too.
I personally LOVE The Office for Saturday or Sunday brunch as well, but we learned this trip that they close every September. The restaurant is right on the beach [most tables are IN the sand], they have an extensive menu and their brunch drinks are spot on.
