Teeth whitening is a big part of my beauty routine and is something I plan to spend $$ on every year. Some whitening kits and professional appointments for the procedure can be quite pricey.

For more than 10 years, I have used traditional Crest Whitestrips. I like the whitening job they have done for me each year, but I very much dislike the tooth sensitivity that comes along with it. And sometimes those flimsy strips can be tricky to put on, they slip off pretty easily too. So I can't help but wonder at times if dropping the $$ for the professional appointment would be worth it.

Smile Brilliant does custom fitted trays AND desensitizing gel, I may have done a little happy dance! No tooth sensitivity and trays that don't slip off? Sign me up!
Creating the trays was a super easy, step-by-step process. Just remember to actually grab the paper towels as mentioned in the instructions because you WILL drool everywhere while creating the molds. I got a pretty good laugh out of that, haha!
Once the trays are complete and mailed back to you, whitening time can range anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours, depending on your desired level of whiteness, tooth sensitivity, and personal time restraints. The desensitizing gel is applied in the tray after your whitening time, and you leave that on for 20 minutes. No eating or drinking for 1 hour after.
I'd say the only downfall with using
Smile Brilliant is TIME. They suggest whitening before bed each night, and for me, that's quite possibly the worst time since I'm so tired at the end of the day. Each whitening session takes [at minimum] an hour, vs the 30 minutes [anytime of day] with Crest.
The BIG positives are the custom fit trays, the immediate super white results, and desensitizing gel. [BIG win on that last one.] The
Smile Brilliant teeth whitening system is more expensive than Crest obviously, but still very reasonable and well worth it for the results [and that desensitizing gel, haha].
